As part of the joint venture "Schiffwracks Elbe" (G-tec & Melchior+Wittpohl), G-tec is executing a geophysical survey on the Elbe River between Cuxhaven and Hamburg, Germany. The purpose of the survey is to detect and map 31 shipwrecks along the 120 km long access channel, and propose a methodology to remove the wrecks prior to starting the dredging works in the channel. This analysis will be based on the results of Side Scan Sonar, multibeam, reflection seismic, parametric sediment echosounder and magnetometer data.
