The Gunfleet Sands Offshore wind farm is constructed 7 km off Clacton-on-Sea, Essex in the Thames Estuary at the United Kingdom. In total the wind farm consists of 48 turbines with a total capacity of 172MW. The project is constructed by DONG energy.
In 2007, G-tec was actively involved in the supervision of the geotechnical site investigation, including boreholes and CPTs.

The construction of the wind farm began in 2008 and the wind farm is fully operational since 2010, providing renewable electricity to approximately 125,000 households.
