Saint-Brieuc Offshore Wind Farm
G-tec has been awarded a contract, in joint venture with GeoSea, to conduct a geophysical survey and a geotechnical borehole investigation for the proposed offshore wind farm in Saint-Brieuc bay, France. The contract includes the collection of more than 2000 km of data, using combined geophysical techniques, and drilling eleven boreholes with associated geotechnical testing. A detailed geological ground model will be developed. The work will be conducted from August 2012 until the end of the year. The Saint-Brieuc wind farm will be constructed by the company Ailes Marines, created by the IBERDROLA and EOLE-RES led consortium, and will be installed between 2018 and 2020, with one hundred turbines over an area of 80 Km².

Belgian Offshore Grid (BOG)
G-tec has been awarded the seabed survey for the ELIA Belgian Offshore Grid project that will connect future wind farms situated in the Belgian part of the North Sea as efficiently as possible with the onshore grid by creating a genuine Belgian Offshore Grid (BOG). This will also lay the foundations for a future large European offshore grid. The seabed survey consists in extended geophysical and geotechnical site investigations and route surveys.
